We’re still around, really
I can’t believe how long it has been since Suzanne and I have posted to DustRhino. It’s not that we haven’t been up to anything interesting, just maybe too much. Suzanne also decided that she likes posting to Facebook better (a.k.a. easier) than this WordPress website.
On the other hand, I started posting on the DesignHammer blog, at least on business related topics. The use of social networking for business is something I want (and need) to learn more about, and I believe there is no better way to learn than doing.
So looks like it is up to me to write some updates to keep our family, friends, and all the nefarious web-based robots, up to date.
The Website Is Down
Over at DesignHammer, we seem to have learned of the hilarious ”The Website Is Down” (a.k.a. Sales Guy vs Web Dude) video before it took off, and ironically, brought the hosting website down.
If you are one of the few in IT who haven’t caught the tale of a hapless web developer whose job-time Halo games and job search are constantly interrupted by bozo colleagues and clients, and was as naive managers, check it out. Even if you are not in IT, it is really funny—just have someone explain some of the more technical humor to get the most from it. Suzanne thought it was funny enough to watch over and over again.
How is this going to work?
We are still organizing photos and text from our trip to post to the website. Don’t worry, they aren’t stuck in a Series of Tubes, we are just being poky. Once we get them up, we are going to post the stories and photos dated to when they happened, so you will have to scroll down a few posts to see them. A little counterintuitive, but will allow us to treat the posts as a travelogue—just imagine you are reading them as they happen.
I am also using Flickr to host the photos, so if you click on one, you will jump to the Flickr website, and the option to see a larger version (look for the tiny magnifying glass above the photo), as well as the rest of the photos. Look for a “Read More†link below the photo when reading posts on the home page of the Dust Rhino website, which is easy to miss—this leads to the rest of the post, which may have additional photos.
Please feel free to comment on this website, as well as in Flickr. We seem to get a bunch of traffic from around the world, and am curious to hear from all of our fans.
Back from our trip
Suzanne and I are back from our trip to Israel and Egypt. We had a great time, but it taking us a while to get back into the swing of work, and it will probably be a while longer before we get out travel stories and photos posted. Until then, here are some photos from the White Canyon, Sinai, Egypt.
